Barbara Porro Obituary
1937 - 2025
Salem - Barbara J. (Pierce) Porro, 88, of Salem, Massachusetts, formerly of Lynn, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully at Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Saturday, July 5, 2025, after a lengthy illness.
Barbara was the beloved wife of the late Alfred G. Porro, with whom she shared 56 years of marriage. Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Harold M. Pierce and Ann F. (Ellis) Pierce.
A well-known businesswoman in the city of Lynn, Barbara owned and operated three beauty salons: Beauty Den I, Beauty Den II, and Final Touch. She later became a prominent commercial real estate broker, working with several North Shore offices.
Barbara leaves behind her two daughters, Susan Belleville of Lynn and Marianne Kelleher of Cape Coral, Florida. She also leaves behind five grandchildren; Alan, Kristen, Brett, Justin, and Travis and one great-granddaughter, Jordan. She was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Pierce, and her sister, Priscilla Thibault
Service Information: Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend calling hours on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway (Rt.129) Lynn. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Lynn.
