Barbara Anne Puetzer, a devoted mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Locust Valley on May 27, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Astoria, NY, Barbara lived a life marked by warmth and unwavering love for her family. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 55 years, Eric Puetzer, and her cherished grandson, Michael Eric Puetzer.
Barbara is survived by her loving sons, Christopher (Janice) Puetzer, and Mark Puetzer (Karen Burke). She was the proud and adoring grandmother to John, Julia, Ethan, and Thomas, each of whom brought her immeasurable joy and fulfillment.
A woman of quiet joys, Barbara found happiness in the comfort of a good book, baking the famous German chocolate cake, the thrill of a Yankees game, and the soothing strains of her favorite music. Yet, it was the time spent with her grandchildren that brought her the deepest sense of purpose and delight.
Barbara’s life will be honored with a graveside service on Monday, June 2nd at 11:00 AM at Locust Valley Cemetery.
Donations in Barbara’s name may be made to Memorial Sloan Kettering.
She will be remembered always, loved forever, and missed dearly.
