LIMA -- Barbara A. Reese, 88, passed away at 1:08 a.m. on Monday, November 17, 2025, at Mercy Health St. Rita's Medical Center.
Barbara was born on May 4, 1937, in Lima, Ohio, to the late Bernard A. and Gertrude Maxine (Sevitz) Truesdale. On December 1, 1955, she married Ronald A. Reese, who preceded her in death on April 21, 2008.
Barbara was very involved in church. She taught Sunday school, helped with the Last Supper Drama, church Bazaar, and Faith Circle. She gave her time and volunteered, mending dog beds for the Humane Society. Barbara also loved knitting and crocheting, and was an avid reader. Most importantly, Barbara loved spending time with family.
She is survived by her children: Richard (Cheryl) Reese, Ronald (Mary) Reese II, and Arletta Rosalie (Dan) Bradford; grandchildren: Kristi (Dr. Nathaniel) Hamm, Michael Reese, Samuel (Melissa Cordova) Reese, Jackson Reese, Joshua Reese, Nickolas (Taylor) Bradford, and Kaeley Bradford; and three great-grandchildren, William, Gabriel, and Emelia Hamm.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Pastor Jim Nathan will officiate. Burial will follow at Sugar Creek Cemetery, Lima.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, or Cridersville United Methodist Church.

So sorry to hear about Barb. We graduated together and have kept in touch over the years. Our birthdays were a day apart and we always exchanged cards. I did talk with her not too long ago. My condolences to her family. Sharon (Shrider) Huffman.
