Barbara Renforth, 87, passed away Wednesday, February, 21 2024.

Born in Rochdale, England in 1936, to father Herbert and mother Ethel Rostron, together enduring the depression and surviving World War II.   Barbara originally immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s with her two children and husband and settled in the Central Ohio area until moving to Ponte Vedra, Florida in late1970s.

She married Howard Renforth in 1986 and spent many happy years in the sunshine with her cherished Yorkshire Terriers, driving around in her ‘Wally Wagon,’ minding her grandchildren and showering those she loved with endless affection; usually in the form of gourmet meals and traditional English confections.

Mrs. Renforth had a passion for tending to her yard and garden, supporting her neighbors and Florida community, cared deeply for our veterans and enjoyed many years traveling the country by RV with Howard. She was a spirited, fun-loving woman whose care, concern and contagious laughter knew no bounds. Always quick with advice, she in fact, always did know what was best for every person or circumstance and was never afraid to wield it. In her life she possessed much staying power, a keen grasp of history, a profound appreciation for finely executed fish and chips and a knowledge of Sherry that was subtle.

She is survived by Howard Renforth, her loving husband of 38 years and her sister Brenda Whaley. Additionally, by her beloved children Julie Hubbard and Philip (Ellen) Schofield, step-children Pam (Dennis) Ivey and Frankie Parrow, along with grandchildren Sarah (Andy) Holmes, Harry (Shannon) Schofield, Alexandra Hubbard, Amanda Hubbard and Duncan Hubbard, Jason (Dana) and Matthew (Shannon) Alexander, Christopher (Dawn) Parrow and many nieces, nephews, and great grandchildren not to mention her many adoring friends. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother Ethel, father Herbert and sister Silvia Rostron, along with first husband Bill Schofield.

Barbara’s family wishes to express its deep appreciation to the many friends and neighbors that extended many kindnesses and support over the years and especially at this time of loss. A private celebration of life is scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th, please be in contact with members of her family for additional details.
