Barbara Ann Seaman Richardson

I still miss Barbara. We used to talk every day. Not superficial, shallow talks but substantive and emotional talks about life, the past, the present, and the future. I never imagined there would be no future. Barbara had the purest heart; she was as genuine and sincere as a person could be. She cared about everyone, from the homeless to the wealthy. Position in life didn't matter. And she was always positive and considerate of everyone. I've had many friends in life, but none compare to Barbara. I will never forget her as the truest friend a person could have. Be happy and at peace Barbara, as I know you are with God.

I was devasted when I learned of Barbara's passing. she was one of my dearest friends. She was a beautiful person inside and out. I will never forget her smile. I pray that Andy and her family will be okay. She will be missed but she will never leave you. She will eTch over you forever. God Bless

I was so distressed when I heard of Barbara's passing, that I forgot to say how sorry I was for her family. She spoke of having such a close and loving family that I know how difficult this time is for you. I don't know that I will ever adjust to not having her to speak to, to laugh with, and to discuss and cry over serious issues, but please know that she was such a close friend, she will be impossible to replace. We had talked about always wanting sisters, and that we would be sisters for each other. I wanted you to know that her kindness, intelligence, and sensitivity touched many.

To say I am at a loss for words is an understatement. I have so many fond memories of spending time with Barbara in high school. Wherever she was fun always followed. For the many people who knew Barbara socially as an adult or as part of her childhood, I want to share who Barbara was at heart. She was as kind and as good as a person could be. She welcomed conversation from all, and lived life with a generosity many never experience. She knew people are connected, regardless of their birthright, their past, their internal and external situations - she showed respect to the homeless as well as the wealthy and educated. She accepted all people regardless of race, religion, nationality, disability - she was a role model for Title VII, treating people equally. She had, to use the adage, a heart of gold, which she gave to all. We spoke daily about everything - life, values, humane treatment of all. She was thoughtful about subjects that many never contemplate. This is the wonderful Barbara that I hope all were able to see, for her life was cut short. Our conversations are etched in my memory, and although I will miss her warm and wonderful disposition, I know that she is in the highest of places - with God shining His light on her forever.

Andy Terry and I just heard of Barbara's passing my love and sorrow for you and your families is unbelivable. I have know idea what caused her passing but having faith and talking to God gave comfort when my 16 year son passed away in 1994.
