Barbara Robb Obituary

Barbara (Stahlman) Robb, beloved mom and MawMaw, transitioned peacefully into the arms of our Savior on January 6, 2026.

She was born in Oil City, PA in 1940 to Stanley and Rachel Stahlman. She had two brothers, Ronnie and Duke, who, along with her parents, preceded her in death and a sister, Marjorie, who survives. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, and loving friend, Hazel Robb.

The Stahlman family moved to Brookville in 1948. Barb attended Brookville High School graduating in 1958. It's there that she met the love of her life, her rock, Thomas Robb. They married in 1962 and lived happily for 48 years until his death in 2010. Together they had four kids in six years. A rather rambunctious bunch, Barb had her hands full as a young stay-at-home mom. During summer breaks, the only daily reprieve she got was sending them to the Pickering Street bridge to meet their dad when he walked home for lunch. The kids loved it and Barb got a moment to breathe. A fond memory for all.

The Robbs were long time members of the First United Methodist Church. It was important to Barb that all her kids were introduced to and began a relationship with Jesus at an early age. A talented seamstress and knitter, Barb created many things - Barbie Doll clothes, kids clothes, patches on knees, personalized stockings for all her kids and grandkids, and later in life, prayer shawls for donation. Although Barb lived most of her life in Brookville, with all four kids living hours away and after Tom's death, it was too painful to stay. She lived for several years with son, Bryan and his family in Ellicott City and eventually moved to Sunnyside Communities in Harrisonburg, VA.

Barb was the matriarch of the Robb family, blessed, loved and survived by Debbie (Jakub) Hierman, Mechanicsburg, PA, Bryan (Paola) Robb, Ellicott City, MD, Jeff (Kim) Robb, Harrisonburg, VA, Wendy Hillebrand, Cranberry TWP, PA, 14 grandchildren, Bryan (Heather), Brittany (Damian), Aaron (Allyson), Jakub, Lillian (Sam), Sara, Thomas, Sydney (Aidan), Calvin (Reese), Tyler (Hannah), Gideon (Julia), Liam, Arami and Atticus and 11 great-grandchildren, Jayden, Cameron, Jasmine, Wellesley, Imogen, Brooks, Sam III, Zoe, Valen, Ruby and Stetson (#12, Graham, due in February). Barbara will be missed by her family, but they are comforted in the steadfast belief that she is with Jesus and reunited with Tom and her mom, Rachel.

All services will be held privately to the family and have been entrusted to the McKinney - d'Argy Funeral Home, 345 Main Street, Brookville, PA 15825. Interment will take place at Brookville Cemetery, Brookville, Jefferson Co, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Victory Family Church Memo "Kingdom Builders," 21150 Route 19, Cranberry Township, PA 16066 or you can donate online at myVFC.info/give choose Kingdom Builders or to the Compassion International.
