Barbara passed after a short battle with cancer.
She was born in Carlisle Army Hospital in Pa. to Warren and Arlene Ross.
As a child she lived in various locations including Germany where she attended kindergarten. The family then moved to Columbus GA. Finally moving to Licking County and attending Hebron elementary in 4th grade. She graduated Lakewood High School with the class of '73.
She married Fred Roberts in 1976 and moved to San Diego Ca. where he was stationed. They then moved to San Francisco in 1977 as the ship he was on was transferred there for an overhaul. After a few month they were transferred to Mare Island naval Shipyard, so they moved to Vallejo Ca.
They were blessed with 3 sons. Shaun, Jeremy, and Derek. She enjoyed taking the boys to Marine World and playing putt putt at various locations in the Bay area.
Derek married Valerie Martinez, blessing her with 3 grandchildren. Shauna, Saleen, and Daymon. She loved me a Grandma for them. making pancakes for them anytime she could.
Twice a year Fred would take her on a getaway to locations all over California.
While living in San Diego she was baptized in the Church of Christ and was very active her whole life.
She is survived by her Husband of 49 years Fred.
Sons Jeremy and Derek.
Daughter-in-law Valerie.
Her 3 grand children Shauna, Saleen, Daymon.
Brother Stanly Ross and his wife Marylee.
Sister Mary Baker.
She is preceeded in death by
Son Shaun.
Her parents.
Mary's husband Jim Baker.
She will be buried at the VA cemetery in Dixon, Ca.
