Barbara Lea Rowe, 93 years, 3 months, and 2 days old, passed away on, December 7, 2025, at Heart of The Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, Missouri .

Barbara was born September 5, 1932, in Douglas County near Smallett, Missouri, to Charley and Carmen (Trent) Day.

She was raised in Thornfield, Missouri, and she graduated from Ava High School.

On December 21, 1963, Barbara and Virgil Conrad were united in marriage in Kansas City, Kansas. He preceded her in death. Years later, on November 6, 1986, Barbara and Jimmy Rowe were united in marriage at Woodville, Texas. Jimmy also preceded in death.

Barbara was employed as a housekeeper for a bank in Texas for several years. She was a Christian and attended Ava General Baptist Church.

She enjoyed fishing, sewing, crocheting, and baking. She loved spending time with her family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Conrad; two brothers, Arnold and Harold Day and one sister, Nadine Haskins; and son-in-law, Jack Rhodes.

Barbara is survived by her children, Carma Rhodes of Kansas City, Kansas, Darrell Joe Giffin and wife, Molly of Jasper, Texas, Gail Flowers and husband, Marc of Olathe, Kansas, and Daisy Dennis and husband, Dwayne of Colmesneil, Texas; six grandchildren, Jackie Rhodes, Kelly Rhodes, Dawn Giffin, Bryttani Johnson, Virgena Chavez, and Brandy Beaver; several great-grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Barbara will be Friday, December 12, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Missouri, with burial following in the Thornfield Cemetery, Thornfield, Missouri. Visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 P.M. Officiating will be Pastor Oren Alcorn. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
