Barbara Ellen (nee Herr-Neckar) Setaro

On July 16, 2020 Barbara (Herr-Neckar) Setaro of Holmes, Pa. left our home here on earth and went home to be with her Lord. Barbara was born on October 3, 1943 at Fitzgerald Mercy Hospital in Darby, Pa. She was a 1961 graduate of Chester High School. During her life she worked primarily as a waitress, most of her life at the Norwood Diner, and then at the Denny's in Essington; later becoming a trainer for waitresses at multiple sites for Denny's. An avid seamstress, she also crocheted and knitted gifts for friends, family members and for multiple charities. Known to be an excellent cook and baker, she hosted many dinners for friends and family and gave baked goods as gifts throughout the years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald E. Herr-Neckar and Marie F. (Riday) Herr-Neckar, and two brothers Earl A. Herr-Neckar and Phillip D. Herr-Neckar. She is survived by three sisters, Donna M. Hager of Jackson, NJ, Lois A. Taylor-Mizelle (Merritt) of Chesapeake, VA, and Rev. Jan Taber of Holmes, PA and two brothers, Alan J. Herr-Neckar (Fay), of Arkport, N.Y., and Merrit V. Herr-Neckar (Priscilla) of Holmes, PA. Also survived by nine nieces and nephews along with many great, and great-great nieces and nephews. Services will be private at a later date. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing may donate in her memory to St. Jude's Research Hospital, Memorial and Honor Gifts, P. O. Box 1000 Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142), or to Penn Medicine Hospice, 150 Monument Ave, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004. Hospice services provided by Penn Home and Hospice were amazing and greatly appreciated by the family.
