On October 28, 2025, Barbara Lee (Diegel) Sheridan became one of Heaven's most beautiful angels. It was a blessing for her to pass in the comfort of her own home, in Peck, surrounded by the love of her ever-growing family.

Barbara was 90 years young. She was born on December 26, 1934, in Ecorse, Michigan, to Celestian (Les) and Ursa (Cook) Diegel. She was their 7th and youngest child. She attended Marlette High School and graduated in 1953.

She married the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Sheridan, on January 7, 1956, at St Elizabeth Catholic Church, in Marlette. They made their home and raised their eight children in Peck. They were married for 54 years.

Barb was a lifelong member of St Johns Catholic Church/Holy Family Parish, where she served as Eucharistic Minister. She had very deep faith; she was very grateful for the beautiful long life she was blessed to have lived. She knew she was always in "God's Hands", and she was very content to be there.

Barb was the Matriarch "Rock" of her family, and her family was her priority. She enjoyed attending all family functions that included her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. She dedicated and devoted her whole life to her family. She was a very strong-independent woman, and she was the best mother ever!

She also enjoyed spending time with her friends, especially the "Red Hat Hippers" and her "Swim Buddies" from her aqua aerobics class. Other favorite past times included sewing on her Viking sewing machine, growing beautiful flowers in her garden, filling her bird feeders and watching her hummingbirds, making strawberry "Grandma" jam, watching sports on TV, and shopping at TJ Max and QVC.

Barb is survived by her 8 children, Ann Winters, Tim (Linda) Sheridan, Dan (Lisa) Sheridan, Kelly O'Connor, Darin (Denise) Sheridan, Jill (Brian) Mahaffy, Karen Sheldon, Steve (Heather) Sheridan, 26 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Beulah Diegel, brother, Harold Diegel, and a brother and sister-in-law, Gene and Betty Nori. She was proceeded in death by her husband Bob, her parents Les and Ursa Diegel, her brothers Jack and Edward Diegel, her sister Dorris Kerrins, Ruth Wilson and Marion Sneider, her in laws, Clare and Rhea Sheridan, sister in laws Dorothy Sheridan, Marge (Fred) Andreae, Jean (Burt) Hamilton, granddaughter Krystal Fletcher, and great grandson David Sheridan.

Barb was loved and admired by so many people, and she will be greatly missed.

A funeral mass will be held on November 21, 2025, at 10:00am, at St Johns Holy Family Parish in Peck, MI. A dinner will immediately follow in the Harvest Hall. A private burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials/donations can be made to wishes of the family.

The Sheridan family would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to McLaren Hospice and the wonderful nurses, Christy, Jenny, Angie and Lauren, who gave such loving care to our mom. We were very blessed to have your guidance and expertise in our mom's final days.
