Barbara Shiro

Barbara and I met when she and her mother were in line in front of my mother and I to register for first grade at Stephen F. Austin Elementary school, in Weslaco, Texas. We continued to be best friends all through high school. We attended First Baptist chirch together and she was Maid of Honor at my wedding in 1966. Life and distance kept us from spending much time together through the years, but we kept in contact and talked to each other on birthdays. She visited us a few times and we got to visit her about 5 years ago. I will miss her and will look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.
Praying for the family and sending love from myself and Andy.

There are no adequate words for the loss of a family member but to me Barbara was a kind spirit that I will always remember and certainly miss.
Finding peace and comfort through remembrance will surely come in time but now it is a seemingly impossible wish. It is with a heavy heart that I offer my deepest condolences.
