WATERFORD - Barbara Skinner, 95, of Middletown Rd., passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Samaritan Hospital. Born in Waterford, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Muriel Leggett Whitehurst. She was a 1948 graduate of Waterford High School.
Barbara was a Legal Secretary and had been employed by the former Goldstein, Bizzarro, Tutunjian and Donohue Law Firm in Troy for many years. Earlier in her career she had been employed at the Glavin Law Firm in Waterford.
She was a very active member of the former 1st Presbyterian Church in Waterford, and held several positions there. She enjoyed crocheting, reading and baking.
Barbara was the widow of Edwin "Ned" Skinner Sr., who died in 2018. She is survived by her loving children, Edwin Skinner Jr. (Bethany), of Galway, and Beverly Mohr, of Waterford. She is the proud grandmother of Kirsten Wolf, Sara Cichy (Ryan), Bradley Skinner (Alicia), Kayleigh Mohr and Sydney Hathaway (Noah); and great-grandmother of Chase and Braden Skinner, Lauryn Cichy, Olivia Wolf and Everett Krauss. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be private at the convenience of the family.
