Barbara Teague Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 29, 2022.
Barbara Ann Teague, of Borger, passed away on December 28, 2022. Her Celebration of Life Service is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21 at Graced Land East.
Barbara was born on a ranch in Moore county to Ben Money and Bonnie Hooper. She had 5 siblings, 4 brothers (Louis, Ben, Jeff and Carl) and 1 sister (Carolyn). She lived a hard life as a ranchers wife but made the best of it. She spent her life raising 5 kids (4 boys and 1 girl: Rodney, Tim, Jeff, John and Carol) and caring for the elderly as a caregiver for many years.
Barbara was an avid gardener and bird watcher. Her love of flowers and gardening made her an expert in that field. It was said that her thumb was so green that she could grow plants on concrete. No doubt that she will be in charge of the flower garden in heaven.
Barbara was diagnosed with Ataxia and suffered the crippling disability for many years and was confined to a wheelchair in 2012. She was a permanent resident at Caprock Rehab & Nursing facility in Borger. She loved Bingo and winning. She made many friends during her time there. She dearly loved her best friend and roommate Karen Costley. They were like sisters and were inseparable.
She was preceded in death by both parents and 2 brothers (Louis and Jeff) and 1 son (Rodney).
She is survived by 2 brothers and 1 sister and also 4 adult children:
Tim and Pam Teague of Borger Tx,
Jeff and Ruthie Teague of Davenport Ia,
John Teague of Borger Tx,
And Carol Coryell of Borger Tx. She leaves behind numerous grandkids and several great grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.
Dear Lord:
You are a good, just, righteous, and loving Father. Don't let us grow bitter in this shadow of death. But pierce our hearts with a joy that we can not fathom or understand. A joy that is above all that is corrupted here on earth. Jesus you wept over death and so too, we weep. But it is a grief and a mourning that holds joy on the other side. You are conqueror of all; and so we trust You. We trust that You will do what is right, what is loving. Whether in death or in life Your will is accomplished and You are sovereign. May we know Your presence, Lord. Keep us ever aware of Your loving hand guiding us through all things. In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.
The family would like to thank the following people:
Karen Costley for your many years of kindness and companionship to our mother. You are a part of our family now.
Larry Turner for your friendship and hospitality to all of the folks at Caprock Rehab. Mom enjoyed and looked forward to the visits and frozen ice cream.
Misty of BSA Hospice for your compassion and caring during the final moments.
The entire staff and residents of Caprock Rehab and Nursing for your care and friendship.

I had the pleasure of meeting Barbara. She was my neighbor and we had lots of talks and visits. She planted many flowers out in the front of our property and in the back yard too and even across the street. We enjoyed each others company when My husband went to Caprock. She helped me through that and i'm sorry I didn't get back to caprock after his homegoing. To her children and family, i'm very sorry for your loss. She loved each and every one of you because she talked about you all the time. I personally know that she is with the Lord doing what she does best and looking after all of us and waiting on our arrival. I will miss her dearly. Love Sharon V.
