Barbara A. Carrafa Timer (nee Kapsha), 86, of Brookhaven, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025, at Riddle Hospital, after a long and courageous battle with leukemia. She was born March 21, 1939, in Schuylkill County, PA
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Anna Kapsha, her husband of 25 years, Lawrence Carrafa (1991); husband, Albert Timer (2008); and her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Ruth Pursh.
Barbara lived in Wildwood and Tarpin Springs, Florida for many years before moving to Brookhaven. Barbara was devoted to her cats, having taken many strays in during her lifetime. Her constant thought was their happiness. Barbara enjoyed having a yard sale. She always had a table set up in her garage. She was quite a talker and would talk to everyone whether she knew you or not. She called herself the "greeter" at Alliance Cancer Center in Media and made many friends there.
Barbara is survived by three sisters, Joan Kapsha of Memphis, Tennessee, Peggy Rowles of Aston and Carol Morton (George) of Brookhaven; godson, Michael Pursh (Marianne) of Bear, Delaware; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 29, 2025, with services to follow at 11:30 a.m. at D'Anjolell-Stigale Funeral Home 3260 Concord Road Aston, PA. Interment will follow in Immaculate Heart of Mary Cemetery.
