Mrs. Barbara A. Walsh

Barbara A. (Martin) Walsh, a 50 year resident of Needham died on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at her home. She was 78 years old. Born in Boston, Barbara grew up in West Roxbury and was a graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Jamaica Plain. She was a former employee of the former Glover Memorial Hospital in Needham, now the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital. Mrs. Walsh was a faithful parishioner of St. Joseph Church. The beloved wife of the late Frederick J. Walsh Jr., she was the loving mother of Frederick J. Walsh III and his wife Kathy of Natick, Maureen Walsh of Needham and John P. Walsh and his wife Beth of Lee, NH. Barbara was the sister of Beverly Harris of West Roxbury and Ruth Gillis of Westwood. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Her Funeral will be held from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Avenue Needham on Monday January 4 at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Joseph Church at 10:00 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday from 4-7 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Roxbury. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara’s name may be made to St. Joseph Parish, 1382 Highland Avenue Needham MA 02492
