Barbara Weidner Obituary
Barbara Jane Weidner, age 96, passed away April 20, 2024 at her home in Wabash. Barbara was born March 12th, 1928, in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Isaac and Emily Jane (Taylor) Tharp. She was preceded in death by husbands Emerson Curnutte and Richard Weidner.
She is survived by daughter, Nancy Jane Curnutte Weibel; son, Richard Weidner (Sandra); son, Steven Weidner (Kathy); and son, Billy Joe Weidner (Elida) all of Wabash, Indiana.
7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren also survive.
Barbara was one of the founding members of the Apostolic Church of Wabash ACW. She played the organ for the church over 60 years. For many years, she taught Sunday school class and was the youth director. Barbara took the youth to numerous camps and conferences.
Grandma, as she was lovingly, called by those who loved her, she loved to travel and enjoyed the beauty of nature. Barbie enjoyed family and friends, but especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a sharp dresser and lit up any room she entered. Barbie truly will be missed by all who loved her dearly.
Celebration of life services will be held Saturday, April 27th, at 11:00 AM at the Apostolic Church of Wabash ACW, 1856 North Wabash Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992.
In lieu of flowers, she asked that donations go to Kids Nation of the Apostolic Church of Wabash ACW, 1856 N. Wabash Street, Wabash, Indiana 46992
