Graveside services for Barbara Williams, 86, of Tyler, are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, April 6, 2026, at Woodside Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Mrs. Williams passed away March 30, 2026, in Tyler. She was born April 26, 1939, in Gainesville, to George & Hilda Flusche Luttmer. Barbara spent her early years in Grand Saline, and graduated from GSHS, Class of 1958. She has lived in Tyler since 1958, where she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing cards, square dancing and traveling, and especially spending time with her grandchildren. Barbara is preceded in death by her father, George Luttmer; mother, Hilda Conner; first husband, John Cook Sims; second husband, Jimmie L. Williams; sons, Jerry Sims, and John Cook Sims, Jr.; infant daughter, Patricia Sims on May 12, 1962; and grandson, Cody Williams.
Survivors include her children, Joe Berry Sims and wife LouAnn of Wills Point; Nancy Balinda Anderson and husband Grant of Flint, Sherry Dianne Swonson and husband Trapr of Kempner, and James Paul Williams and wife Kim of Combine; four grandchildren, Kellie Millslagle, Britt Anderson, Brandon Williams, and Ryan Williams; four great-grandchildren, Anderson Cub Millslagle, Shepherd Hughes Millslagle, Mary-Grace Rose Millslagle, and Kara Jo Williams; and numerous other relatives and friends.
