Thank you all for the kind words during this difficult time. We will be having a "Barry Bravo: Family And Friends Gathering" as a memorial/tribute to him.
We are no longer calling this a memorial as that term seemed to make our first two choices of venue back off. So now it's a gathering!
Come as you are. It's casual, softball/baseball T-shirts are encouraged.
Sunday, September 8th from 3:00 to 6:00pm
Centennial Activity Center, Multi-Purpose Room
100 S. Western Ave.
Park Ridge, IL 60068
Some folks have inquired about donations, the organization that helped us is:
Leukemia Research Foundation
191 Waukegan Rd. Ste 105
Northfield, IL 60093
www.allbloodcancers.org
(847) 424-0600
Hope you can make it. As Barry would say "good luck, have fun, don't get hurt"

Barry was more than a husband, father, umpire or referee. He was my coach, teammate, and most important. He was friend. I will miss you. May you rest in peace

Barry was quick with a smile and had a dry sense of humor. I'll never forget his baritone. Tallest pitcher I'd ever met. Sorry to hear of his passing. Condolences to the Bravo family.

I'm so sorry for your loss and in hearing this terrible news. I had so much fun with Barry playing softball for years and years together and even being in fantasy baseball leagues with him and a lot of the guys. I'll always have a smile remembering him. He was always a happy guy.
Kathy and I are so very sorry.

Thanks Barry for all the fun and memories at Melas park drop in softball. His quick whit jokes and energy was a inspiration to all. I will never forget Barry telling me get up there and hit the ball. Your only as good as your last at bat!! His confidence as a person truly reflected who he was. Barry was truly a great person.
