St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church for Barry Champagne Sr., 52, who passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.
Rev. Jason Vidrine officiated at the Funeral Mass. Reader was Brianna Champagne and the Gift bearer was Brooke Champagne.
Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum.
Barry was born on February 1, 1971, in Breaux Bridge. He was the owner and operator of P.J.'s Country Quick Stop for 22 years, he enjoyed commercial crawfishing and riding his motorcycle. Barry loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Sue Champagne; children, Barry "B.J." Champagne, Jr., Brittany (Spencer) Bares, Brianna Champagne, Benjamin "Ben" (Lexi) Champagne, and Brooke Champagne; grandchildren, Bryson Champagne, Branson Champagne and Sage Bares; mother, Audrey Warren; and his sisters, Deidra Champagne and Christina Comeaux.
He is preceded in death by his father, Percy "P.J" Champagne, Jr; son, Adam Paul Champagne.
Pallbearers were his children and son-in-law.
Pellerin Funeral Home, 112 New Market St., St. Martinville, LA 70582 (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
