Barry Wayne Hedstrom, 54, of Fargo, ND, passed away unexpectedly August 26, 2025.
Barry was born August 21, 1971, in Fargo, ND, to Russell and Debra (Boe) Hedstrom. He grew up in Fargo and graduated from Fargo South High School in 1989. Barry was employed at American Crystal Sugar, where he took great pride in his work and truly enjoyed his role. He was well liked and will be missed by his colleagues. Throughout his time there, he continually developed his skills, successfully tested into new positions, and advanced within the company.
Barry was blessed with two children: his son, Justin, born in 1991 and daughter, Jessa, born in 1995.
Barry worked hard, lived a quiet life and was always there when he was needed. He enjoyed spending time with his family and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Wild and the New York Mets.
Barry is survived by his mother, Debra Hedstrom; his children, Justin Ryttie and Jessa Ryttie; his siblings, Wendy (Scott) Paulsen, Brady (Brianne) Hedstrom and Kirby (Angie) Hedstrom, and his nieces and nephews, Hailey, Ashley, Brooks, Alma, Briar and Wren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Hedstrom.
Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM, at Wright Funeral Home, Hawley, MN. Interment will be at Lake Park Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Park, MN.
