Barry Wayne Moore, Age 62 of Pleasureville, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 13, 2026, at his residence. Born on Saturday, May 25, 1963, he was the son of Marilyn Jean (Sims) Moore and the late Marvin Gene Moore. Growing up on Union Church Road, he grew up farming with his dad, Marvin, and riding dirt bikes with his sister, Rhonda. Following in his father and grandfather’s footsteps, Barry spent his life as a farmer. He worked most of his life helping manage large farming operations in Shelby County. He had many long hot days, several of which went well into the evening planting and combining. Barry’s love for machinery was evident in the many tractors, cars and lawnmowers he fixed for family and friends. In addition to driving big tractors, Barry had a vast collection of toy tractors and farm implements that he displayed with pride.
He is survived by his daughter, Brooklyne Moore of Frankfort; mother, Marilyn Moore of Pleasureville; sister, Rhonda (Moore) Phenix (Melvin) of Simpsonville; longtime companion, Debbie Carter of Pleasureville; niece, Christi Parker (Paul) of Shelbyville; nephew, Levi Wylie (Lindsay) of Eminence; great niece and nephews, Logan, Waylon and Millie Parker, and Lincoln Wylie; aunts, Reva Dean Renaker of Sulphur, and Carolyn Anderson (Bill) of Richmond; and uncles, Larry Moore (Cathy) of Pleasureville, and Jack Moore (Shirley) of Louisville.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 PM on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Beckley Funeral Home with his cousin, Jakob Beckley Officiating. Private Interment will be in Pleasureville Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 AM until the time of service on Monday. With Care and Professionalism, arrangements are under the direction of Beckley Funeral Home.
