Barry Eugene Taylor

Barry Eugene Taylor, born on July 25, 1964, in Henderson County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2025, at the age of 61. A lifelong resident of Henderson County, Barry was known for his dedication to his work, his family, and his community.

Barry graduated from West Henderson High School in 1982. He went on to build a distinguished career with the N.C. Department of Transportation, where he served diligently for 32 years. His commitment to his work was matched only by his love for his family and friends.

As a young man, Barry was a member of Balfour Methodist Church, where he developed a strong sense of community and faith that guided him throughout his life. He was a man of many interests, including a passion for golf and a love for dirt bike racing in his youth. Barry also found joy in helping others with their projects and took great pride in maintaining his home, particularly enjoying the simple pleasure of mowing the grass.

Barry was preceded in death by his beloved parents, David and Bonnie Taylor. He is survived by Anita Tritt Taylor, the love of his life, whom he married 29 years ago. Together, they built a loving family, including two cherished daughters, Samantha Lynn Taylor and Heather Nicole Taylor, both of Hendersonville, NC. Barry is also survived by his dear sisters, Brenda Petty and Donna Doss and her husband Ray, as well as his brother, James Taylor.

A funeral service to honor Barry's life will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Little River Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to gather for a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 PM at the church.

Barry Engene Taylor will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his kindness to others, and his steadfast presence in the community. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire all who knew him.
