Barry W Thomas

Barry was one of the best teachers the Jr. High had. He never had to raise his voice & his presence alone got him the respect that other teachers only dreamed of having! Barry taught an Introduction to Physical Science class that was superior to anything else the academic science department offered until my Jr. Year in High-School Chemistry & Physics. I have an aptitude for science & yet I worked for 1 of the 2 "A's" received within the entire class. Upon entering high school, I was the LONE student pushing to get a computer in the school to learn on in 1982 (the infancy in the world of micro-computing). Barry was on the Board of Directors & helped make that possible. The $2500 price tag for that computer wasn't chump change back then & Barry understood the academic importance of entering that arena. I ended up putting, - what must have been - over a thousand hours on that machine over 2+ years. It was a fantastic learning tool for certain classes. Thanks Barry! You were appreciated & well respected.
