Barry Wilson

Barry Wilson, 68, of Throckmorton, TX left his earthly home surrounded by his loved ones to walk with the Lord on November 15, 2025.
Barry was born to Rufus and Bonnie (Bundy) Wilson on December 1, 1956 in Wichita Falls, TX. He traveled the world as a military kid but he always thought of Throckmorton as his home. He married Tina (Thompson) Carrigan on March 3, 1979. He worked as a roustabout, pumper, drove the mail truck, and all-around handyman, but worked the majority of this time for Pump Service. He served as a deacon in the church, on the school board, and city council; announced at football games, coached baseball, and selflessly lent a hand to anyone who needed it.
During his later years he volunteered at State Parks while his wife worked as a travel nurse. They traveled across the U.S. making countless friends that became family. He won Volunteer of the Year for California Parks and Wildlife. They had some amazing adventures over the years. They retired two years ago and moved back to Throckmorton.
Barry is survived by his wife, Tina of Throckmorton, mother Bonnie also of Throckmorton, daughter Lori of Munday, daughter Lisa of Las Vegas, son Wesley and wife Makaylie of Tuscola, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren; brother Mark and wife Leslie of Abilene, brother John and wife Linda of Aledo, numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, in-laws, uncles, aunts, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Rufus Wilson and his son-in-law Simeon Colbert.
