Obituary published on Legacy.com by Premier Funeral Services - Salt Lake City on Jan. 12, 2026.
Bart Clay Reeder, 64, of Syracuse, Utah, passed away on January 6, 2026 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born in September of 1961 in Washington State to Martin and Jean Reeder. Bart is survived by his wonderful 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Bart graduated from Skyview High School. He went on to have a successful career with Alpine.

He married the love of his life Melissa in 2001, they had one daughter Paige Reeder and they blended 5 children into their loving family. Chad Hakala (deceased), Justin (Alyssa) Hakala, Shannon (April) Reeder, Carson (Torie) Reeder and Logan Puffer.

Family meant everything to Bart, he loved gathering with them every Sunday for dinner. He loved taking motorcycle rides with his sons and he loved and cherished the time he got to spend with his two daughters.

He had 6 beautiful granddaughters that he adored. Nearing the end of his life he found out he was going to have his 7th granddaughter and he was ecstatic.

Bart was known to be the kindest, most loving man. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone. He would do anything in the world for the people he loved, especially his family. He was a loving husband, father and papa. His hobbies were fishing, barbequing and riding his motorcycle.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son and grandparents.

A memorial of Bart's life will be held at the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on January 17, 2026 at 2887 W. 2700 S. Syracuse, Utah 84075 from 1-2:30 with a luncheon following.
