Bart DiMattina, age 82 passed away peacefully on December 28, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on September 1st, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI. the son of Joseph and Rosalie (Frinzi) DiMattina. Bart graduated from Shorewood High School in 1958 and later served in the US Air Force.

He soon became the operator of Bart's Standard Service in Milton on Hwy 26, and later Bart's Standard in Newville. He then opened Bart's Auto Repair in Milton and stayed active in the business even after it was passed on to his son Bart, in 1994. Bart continued to have many loyal customers who always appreciated his knowledge and expertise.

Bart was very much a family man and will be forever missed. He enjoyed frequent family functions, good Italian food, and brandy. On Saturday's you could find him at Mac's Pizza Shack enjoying the buffet with good company. Bart found joy in teasing his grandkids and spoiling his pup, Bella. He loved boiled peanuts on the beaches of Gulf Shores, AL, his home away from home. Always quick with a joke, Bart loved to needle his family members that were suffering through the Wisconsin winter by sending pictures of himself next to the thermometer on his balcony overlooking the beach. He also loved antique cars, especially his 1955 T-bird, his family fantasy football league and the Packers. He was a forty-year cancer survivor.
