Basil Crist Obituary
He was born on June 6, 1939 in Quinwood; he was the son of the late Glenn A. Crist and Annie Marie Beam Crist.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lettie Imogene Crist in 2019; brothers, Robert Forest Crist, Harry Cecil Crist, William Ray Crist, Lawrence Irven Crist, Gerald Vincent Crist, Leo Glen Crist and Hershel James Crist.
Basil was a US Army veteran. He loved traveling and camping. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his daughter, Ann (Owen) Downer of Charlotte, NC; son, Danny (Sheila) Bennett of Meridian, MS; grandson, Josh Davis; sister, Frieda Susan Cales of Rupert; extended family and friends.
Service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 18, 2023 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Jimmy Groves officiating. Burial will follow at the End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville. Visitation will be Sunday evening, December 17, 2023 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
