CHUPEK, Beatrice Marlene - Age 78, of Linden, died May 23, 2012 at her residence after a short battle with cancer. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden, with Pastor Bill Moull officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Friday. Those desiring may make contributions to Linden Free Methodist Church in Linden, MI or Providence United Methodist Church in Quinton, VA. Beatrice was born September 11, 1933 in New Kensington, PA, the daughter of Walter Wilhelm and Edith Mabel (Settlemyer) Berkoben. She was married to John Thomas Chupek Sr. on January 10, 1953 in New Kensington, PA; he preceded her in death on March 9, 2004. Mrs. Chupek successfully owned and operated several businesses since 1958. Surviving are: children, John Thomas Chupek Jr. and wife Dawn of Richmond, VA, Walter William Chupek and friend Becky Kerr of Linden, Dolores Darlene Bedell and husband Tim of Linden; grandchildren, Timothy Bedell II and wife Jill, Hillary Merten and husband Brian, John Thomas Chupek III and wife Lindsay, Christina Rexin and husband Stuart; five great-grandchildren; brother, Walter Berkoben and wife Josie of Pennsylvania; sisters, Gladys Powers of Florida, Carol Steel and husband Dave of Flushing; several nieces and nephews.
