Beatrice Joan (Allen) Davis, age 91, of Oak Hill, passed away early Friday, January 16, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born November 16, 1934, in Oak Hill to the late Henry and Murile (Crabtree) Allen.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wendell Davis; her sisters, Almeda Wallace and Dorothy Wallace; nephews, Dennis Wallace, and Larry Wallace and her great nephew, Kevin Wallace.
Joan is survived by her niece, Donna (Dean) Snyder; great nieces, Tracy (John) Carter, and Bobbie (Lee) VanAllen; great great niece, Emma Carter and great great nephew, Caleb Carter. Also surviving are her nieces, Jane McCain, and Kay Davis; nephew, Hubert Davis II; great nephews, Jason and Jeff Wallace; and her special friend, Terri Kuhn; and several other great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She worked at Oak Hill Schools for 30 years as a cook. Joan loved cooking, working puzzle books, shopping, and spending time with her family. She dearly loved her animals, Bear, Oakley and Jazzmen. She will be dearly missed.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the James Cancer Center and Advanced Hospice of Wheelersburg.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026, from 4-8 PM at the Lewis & Gillum Funeral Home in Oak Hill. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Pastors Bryon Carmon and Fred Crabtree officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery.
