Beatrice Johnson, 87, of Wooster, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, at her home.
Bea was born on Sept. 16, 1938, in Wayne, WV to Elmer and Rachel (Hager) Watts and married Donald W. Johnson on Nov. 6, 1954. Don preceded her in death on Oct. 13, 2014, and they are together again. Always a caregiver, Bea had done home health care as well as worked at Sterling Oaks in Wadsworth. She was a member of NorthLife Baptist Church in Wooster, and enjoyed gardening, decorating her home and supervising any project or family event.
Bea will be greatly missed by her children and their spouses, Donald E. and Lisa Johnson of Medina, Michael D. and Doreen Johnson of Wadsworth, Loretta Miller of Wooster, Karl W. and Tammy Johnson of Alliance, Keith E. and Betsy Johnson of Orange Park, FL and Michele and Jason Rutan of Cleveland; 23 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren and a sister, Martha Geitgey of West Salem.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; her parents; brothers, Willie, Harold and Elmer Jr. and a sister Naomi Ellis.
Friends may call Monday, Dec. 1st from 3-5 p.m. at Murray Funeral Home in Creston where Pastor David Cotner will conduct services at 5:00 p.m. Burial will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Wadsworth at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, OH 44691.
