Beatrice G. Keene, 90, of Mouthcard, Kentucky, passed away at Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky, surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 09, 2025.
Beatrice was born on November 19, 1934, in Johns Creek, Kentucky, to Frank and Eunice Griffith. She graduated from Feds Creek High School. On January 21, 1956, she married the love of her life, Marcum Keene. Beatrice worked as a bookkeeper for 42 years until her retirement in 2000 from Griffith Coal Company.
Beatrice was a member of Mountain View Church of Christ. She enjoyed watching her grandson Mark play Major League Baseball and attending games when she could. She followed Mark’s career through MLB TV watching most all of his games. She was a homemaker but mostly loved family time.
In addition to her parents, Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband Marcum, two great-grandsons Jayme Tyler Stanley and Chase Caudill, four brothers Corbet, Ertle, Arlan, Elmo, and four sisters, Lola, Pinnie, Sophia and Shelby.
Beatrice was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister and aunt. She is survived by her sons, Phillip of Feds Creek, Kentucky, William Brett (Tyan) of Pikeville, Kentucky, one daughter Tammy (Greg) Reynolds of Virginia Beach, Virginia, seven grandchildren, Shellie (Shawn) Looney of Big Rock, Virginia, Jessica (Travis) Caudill of Feds Creek, Kentucky, Mark (Kathleen) Reynolds of Charlotte, North Carolina, Kelli Farmer of Pikeville, Kentucky, Kyle (Courtney) Reynolds of Phoenix, Arizona, and Isabella and Will Keene of Pikeville, Kentucky.
She is also survived by eleven great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren, one brother Herbert Leo Griffith of Lexington, Kentucky, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm, at Mountain View Church of Christ in Lick Creek, Kentucky, with Steve Cantrell officiating. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday from 11:00 am until the time of service.
