I remember meeting Bebbie on the first day of school at Port Orange Elementary. She was on crutches due to a bad foot injury and was scooching up and down the stairs on her bottom. Sweet as can be, even then. I have thought of her a lot through the years. The memories stuck with me. I had even thought of her recently, as that memories on the crutches popped up. I remember thinking how resilient she was as a young girl. I had no idea of her career, and it sounds amazing, like her spirit. Fly high sweet lady.
