I never knew it at the time, all the details. But, my brother, Elder Nathaniel Richard Grant, then an 8-year-old was signaled to take the organ and much to our surprise, played, conducted and directed our 30-40 voice choir over our radio morning show at GOSPEL TEMPLE CHURCH OF GOD IN CHRIST, 2056 5th Avenue, New York. Dr. Becky Carlton had trained him very adequately. He became an Broadway, television, movie actor. Musical Director, organist of the Hall of Famer, Wilson Pickett. What a legacy. -IJN-VCT

She was my organ mentor. I'll never forget how she took the time out of her busy schedule to come to Miracle Revival Temple COGIC/Fellowship Tabernacle COGIC (Bronx NY) in the early 70's to give me lessons. One song will always stand out in my mind she taught me was "I've got Joy like a river". I'm listening, sharing, and reflecting on her music ministry today. She will never be forgotten and will always be a part of my musical ministry, and thru my sons her musical legacy .
