Becky Miller Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by West Funeral Home - Carlsbad on Mar. 26, 2026.
Becky Jo Miller of Carlsbad went into the loving arms of our Lord on March 19, 2026. She passed comfortably in her own home and was peaceful at the end, knowing Heaven awaited her.

Becky was born on May 21, 1952, to Sonny and Jody Ward. She weighed only 2 pounds but was tough enough to survive and stayed tough until her last day.

Becky inherited her parents love of fast cars at a young age. She was the first of the four Ward children to have the courage to sneak their daddy's '57 Chevy Nomad and his '56 Corvette out and take them for a ride on her own. She didn't even get caught.

In 1974 Becky married Gregrey Miller of Carlsbad who also loved fast cars. They would eventually own her daddy's '57 Chevy and that '56 Corvette which now belongs to their son, Hank.

Becky's greatest joy came from spending time with her family, specially making crafts with her grandchildren. She was (a foodie) an amazing cook and spoiled her family with huge meals. She even had the original recipes from The Cortez.

Her best friends, other than her sons and her sister, were her dogs which she absolutely adored and spoiled rotten.

Becky was preceded in death by her husband Greg Miller, her parents Sonny and Jody Ward, and her brothers Fred Ward and Les Ward; and her nephew Nathan Powers, all of Carlsbad.

She is survived by her two sons, Jody Miller of Greeley CO and Hank Miller of Carlsbad; her sister, Lou Ward, her grandchildren, Tyler Miller, Chesa Miller, and Leslie Miller, all of Greeley CO; Becky Sue Miller and Bethaney Miller of Carlsbad; her great-grandchildren,

Kylie Bryn Geist, Allen Jacob Geist, Benelli Grace Geist, Eastyn Willow Geist, Leah Nova Busby and Greyson Atlas Miller all of Greeley CO; Reece Parker Hurley of Carlsbad; her nephew Les Patrick of Carlsbad, Jaime Stevens of Lubbock, TX and Jesse Patrick of Glendale, AZ.

At Becky's request, there are no services scheduled at this time, cremation has taken place. Anyone wishing to send flowers is asked to please make a donation in her name to Noah's Ark instead.
