Becky Taylor

Rebecca "Becky" Ann Taylor, age 85, widow of Bobby Carroll Taylor, of Harrodsburg died Friday, March 27, 2026 at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY. Born March 29, 1940 in Harrodsburg, KY, to the late Carroll Pearce and Thelma (McAnly) Brown. She was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church and was a retired Teacher with the Fayette County School Systems. After retiring as an educator Becky went on to work for State Bank & Trust and Whitaker Bank. Becky raised American Saddlebred horses; this is something her and her late husband Bobby enjoyed together. She also enjoyed doing family genealogy; she was considered the "Family Historian".

She is survived by one daughter: Karen Taylor Johnson of Lexington, KY; one sister: Patricia (Bob) Holland and one brother: Bill (Mary Ann) Brown; one grandson, Taylor Johnson; several nieces and nephews, one brother in law, Donald Eugene "Gene" Taylor; and numerous special friends.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Arthur Carroll Brown.

The funeral will be 1pm on Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at Ransdell Funeral Chapel, 345 E. Lexington Street, Harrodsburg, KY with Matthew Robbins officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Harrodsburg KY. Visitation will be Tuesday March 31, 2026 from 5pm-8pm.
