Belen Madrid Almodova

Belen Madrid Almodova, 62, of Midland, Texas, passed away peacefully at her home on November 18, 2025. She was affectionately nicknamed, "Teddy".

Born on October 24, 1963, in Seminole, Texas, to Manuel and Syria (Madrid) Almodova, Belen grew up in Alpine, where she excelled in school and graduated with honors. Her bright personality, caring nature, and strong work ethic were evident from the very beginning.

Belen spent many years working in Labor & Delivery at Midland Memorial Hospital, where she formed deep, lifelong friendships. Her coworkers remember her as someone who brought comfort, encouragement, and laughter into even the busiest days. She was incredibly grateful for the friends who stood by her-checking in daily, bringing meals, picking up medications, and helping with anything she needed. Their love was a blessing she never took for granted.

The family extends a heartfelt thank you to Hospice of Midland and to the doctors who went above and beyond to care for Belen with compassion and dignity.

Belen loved her family and friends with her whole heart. Whether through her warm smile, her jokes, or her gentle presence, she made sure the people around her felt loved. She will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the joy she brought into so many lives.

She is survived by her seven siblings:

Bernie Almodova, Belinda Almodova of Midland, Benny Almodova, Bessie Almodova, Blanca Almodova, Eliberto Almodova (Cindy), and Brenda Salas (Eric); as well as many nieces and nephews whom she adored and cherished.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Manuel Espinoza and Syria (Madrid) Almodova, and five siblings: Mel Almodova, Benjamin Almodova, Efrain Almodova, Bonnie Almodova Williams, and Edmundo "Mundy" Almodova.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at American Heritage Funeral Home.

Belen's light will continue to shine through the many lives she touched, and the love she gave will be remembered forever.
