Belia Broughton

Belia Broughton, 66, passed away on September 19, 2025, in her home, surrounded by family. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 29, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a rosary at 6:00 pm, at West Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., at San Jose Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Loving Cemetery.

On March 4, 1959, Belia was born to Andres Garcia Sr and Manuela Salmon, in Carlsbad, NM. She graduated from Carlsbad High School and worked for Carlsbad Caverns National Park for 14 years, and owned Thelma's Wangs and Thangs.
Belia always loved being around her family and friends. She loved cookouts and family gatherings. She also took joy in cruising on Sundays with her sidekick dog, Shorty. She was a beautiful soul with a kind and loving heart, always willing to help anyone in need.
Belia is preceded in death by her son Randy Gutierrez, her parents Andres and Manuela, her brothers Juan, Jose, Alejandro, David, Javier, Gabriel, Eugene, Oscar, and Andres Jr.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy Broughton Sr., her children Kaylynn Garcia, Candice Vigil and husband Jacob, Zayvion Broughton, Jay Broughton, Jamette Broughton, her sisters Virginia Quintana and husband Luz, numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Isaac, Izaya, Chris, Jerry, Dakota, and Zachary.
Honorary Pallbearers are Nena, Sandra, and Joann
