Belinda Garcia Haag, lovingly known as “Bel” or “Nina” by friends and family, was called home by the Lord on November 23, 2025, at the age of 56 in Odem, Texas. Born on August 20, 1969, in Kingsville, Texas. Belinda brought warmth and kindness to everyone she encountered throughout her life. Though she was a little rough around the edges and full of life, she never hesitated to voice her opinion. Belinda was known for her strong will, steadfast faith, and straightforward nature. She spoke the truth without sugarcoating it, earning the respect of all who knew her.

Belinda completed computer courses at Del Mar College, which prepared her for a long and meaningful career. For over twenty years, she dedicated herself as a case worker, offering compassion and guidance to those in need. Her commitment to helping others was evident in every aspect of her life. She was a resolute advocate for animal rescue and cared deeply for her two pets, Reina and Chico. She was deeply committed to prayer, consistently uplifting the sick and anyone in need. Her unwavering faith inspired those around her, and she generously supported the elderly, the homeless, and the less fortunate, consistently demonstrating kindness and compassion to all. Her nieces and nephews brought her immense joy, and she treasured each of them. Belinda was a devoted wife, sister, aunt, and friend, admired for her generosity, warmth, and unconditional love. She found joy in simple pleasures, canning, crafting, cooking, and gardening. She tackled every task with persistence and creativity.

Belinda is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Olivia J. Garcia; brother, Francisco Garcia Jr.; her fur baby, Reina; great-nephew, Daniel L. Alvarez; and brother-in-law, Ernesto Garza.

She is survived by her husband, Steven Haag; her fur-baby, Chico; mother-in-law, Margaret Haag; siblings, Rosabel Garza, Gilbert Garcia (Lupita), and Dalia Cavazos (Julian) will forever treasure her memory in their hearts. Belinda also leaves behind her beloved nieces and nephews, Angelica Barrera, Ernesto Garza Jr., Aniella Garza, Vanessa Cavazos, Julian Frank Cavazos (Michelle), Alexia Garcia, Alejandra Garcia (Adan Beltran), Dacia Hernandez (Lexi), and Montana Garcia; four great-nieces; nine great-nephews; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

The services to honor Belinda’s life will be held at Turcotte-Piper Mortuary in Kingsville, Texas. The visitation will take place on December 1, 2025, commencing at 5:00 PM, with a holy rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. On the following day, December 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM, a Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church in Kingsville, Texas. Following the Mass, interment will take place at St. James Cemetery in Bishop, Texas.

Belinda leaves a legacy of compassion, faith, and devotion to family that will continue to inspire all who knew her. Though her loss is deeply felt, we honor the joy she brought to our lives and the remarkable person she was. May she rest in eternal peace.
