Belinda Owens, a cherished soul, departed this world on October 10, 2024, in her beloved hometown of Louisville, KY, after losing her four year courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by love and comfort with her devoted husband and daughter Angie by her side. Born on December 21, 1955, she was a shining light to all who had the privilege to know her.
Belinda will forever be remembered as a devoted wife to Michael Alfred Owens. Their bond was characterized by unwavering support and shared moments of joy, reflecting a love that many aspire to emulate. She was the proud matriarch whose greatest accomplishments were the warm memories she created with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her heart overflowed with pride for each of them, inspiring those around her to cherish family values.
Belinda was proud to have worked as an assembler at Precision Tool and Die, where her strong work ethic and commitment to her craft were evident. She approached every task with determination and care, traits that shone through in all aspects of her life. An Alumnus of Warner High School, she ingrained in her children the importance of education and the value of hard work, forever impacting their journeys.
Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family, as she was known for her kind demeanor and compassion towards others. Friends will fondly remember her as someone who could light up a room with her warmth and positivity. Belinda’s joy was found in the little things; she loved playing bingo, indulging in card games like rummy, and delighting her family with her baking and cooking. She found happiness in gardening under the sun and going on walks, always eager to share these precious moments with loved ones.
Belinda's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched. Her memories will be honored and celebrated during a visitation on October 16, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 5:00 PM at the Newcomer Funeral Home, East Louisville, located at 235 Juneau Dr, Louisville, KY 40243.
Belinda Owens leaves behind not only her beloved husband, but also her daughter Angie Wilson; Sons, James Eagler and Anthony Eagler; as well as, indelible mark of compassion and love she shared freely with the world. As we remember her life, let us carry forward her spirit of kindness and dedication, ensuring her legacy of love continues to flourish.
