My memories of Benjie...that typical, pesky little brother,
of my two closest friends (Nichelle and Amy); doing pesky little brother things when I was growing up in New Hope. We were always doing fun stuff- Friday Night Videos, campfires, snowball fights, mud wrestling, rock pits- 4 wheeling and motorcycling, toilet papering trees, AND kick the can!!
Precious, fond memories I have that run deep with Benji- always around with all of us New Hope kids.
I ALWAYS felt like part of the family at their house. I am an only child, so it was like a second home, a second family spending time at their house. DP and sweet tea were staples.
Fast forward to us all growing up- he is this amazing young man- a solid guy´s guy that EVERYONE loved. Such a gentleman.
I will miss his piercing eyes, his sweet smile, his contagious laugh. My heart is broken.
But those memories...he is at the heart of ALL of them.

When he got to meet our daughter Meradith Marie. It ment the world to me for him to get to meet her and see her. She just cut up at him and smiled. As he told stories about his son and to share those memories and that moment with him meant the world.
I will also remember going over there and playing cornhole, darts and just having a good time. Him laughing and such a warm welcome as soon as you walk up to him. Hug you even though he was dirty from all the tinkering and work he was doing before we got there. He would tell you stories after stories. No matter what day you were having he would also make it better with talks, jokes until 4 am in the morning! Get there at 6pm and not leave until the next morning. He knew to keep the conversation going and going.
We love you and miss you benjie. Forever in our hearts and mind. That smile, that laugh and those
Memories overall.

Mom and dad bringing him home from the hospital and me thinking "oh good grief! Couldn´t we just get a puppy instead??" (Those thoughts being that of a 9 year old oldest brother!)
