He is survived by his children, Paul(wife Diana), Aggie, Julian, Alvin, Melvin(wife Christina) and Tammie DeVargas. His brothers Archie, Larry, Patrick and Joe. His sisters Rose, Terri, Charlotte, and Noel. Ben and Luisa left a beautiful legacy of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Ben had a great love and passion for life. He was a true horseman and world-renowned horse trainer. He was a teacher of life and instilled a strong work ethic, passion for animals, and how to love your neighbor. He called everyone he knew his primo. He was the best at everything he did, from being a kid playing basketball and baseball, to an adult in the horse racing business, but always remained humble and kind. He was lighthearted and funny, he would take anyone under his wing, and his smile would light up a room. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers are his grandsons, Paul, Louie, Ben III, Luis and Jameis and great grandsons, Felix and Stuart.
Viewing will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024 from 3:00pm- 5:00pm at Noblin Funeral Services. Rosary will be at San Clemente Catholic Church on Thursday, June 20, 2024 at 9:00am and Mass at 10:00am. Burial to proceed at Los Lentes Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service, Los Lunas, where an online guest register is available at www.noblin.com
