I worked with Ben when both of us were at LabCorp. He was very intelligent and kind. I enjoyed working with him. One of my favorite memories was when he rode a bicycle to work. The bicycle had a bell which he rang upon arriving at work and I have a fond memory of this. He contributed a lot to the Burlington community and was a very caring person. My prayers are with Caroline and the family.

To the Ansbacher family, my deepest condolences. I met and interacted with Ben a number of times during my eight years as the police chief here in Burlington. He was always sincere and to the point. He often wanted me to be better or do more. As you know, he could be quite persuasive.

I will say a prayer for him and for you all. He was a very good man!

Dear Caroline, in moments like this one, words are not enough. They lack deepness, strength, warmth, their meaning simply cannot reach the complexity of a feeling. I am so sorry for your loss.

Ben was a gentleman with a brilliant mind and a kind heart, who always made me feel welcomed in a country and a culture other than my own. He was my friend, and I will miss him.

What a great loss! Ben was one of a kind. He was always friendly, laughing and interested in everyone and every thing. He was a great Democrat (big and little d) in the best sense of that word. I never saw him (sadly too seldom in recent years) that he wasn't always genuinely interested in what others were doing and thinking. I passed their house on Davis Street just yesterday and thought how much I'd like to see Caroline and Ben. I will miss him.

Caroline and Margaret, I am so sorry for the loss of Ben. he was certainly a wonderful man! I have good memories of his love for Jennie and his joie de vivre! How lucky the world has been to have him for 88 years! though I know it's heartbreaking, I wish for you that the smiles of great memories come to your lips before the tears of sadness hit your cheeks very soon.

Mr. Ansbacher, Ben, was always kind to me and such a generous person. Intelligent but humble, capable but modest, I so appreciate his example in prioritizing his family, church and community. It's true that he was always curious and willing to engage in conversation and contemplate ideas that varied from his own. He noticed the needs around him and chose to invest in people to strengthen not only them, but all of us. We have so much to learn from you, Ben Ansbacher. You will be sorely missed.
