He attended Carl Hayden High School and shorty after graduation served in the U.S. Army. Ben worked for many years at AT&T/Lucent. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend. Ben will always be remembered for his wit, jokes and generosity. He knew how to lighten any situation and make people laugh. To the end, Ben kept everyone around him smiling and laughing. He enjoyed spending time with his family, listening to music, watching movies and was always working on something in the garage. Ben is preceded in death by his eldest brother Samuel Jr., mother and father, Samuel and Rayitos Benavidez and grandson Alexander J. Vogel. Ben is survived by his wife of 41 years Mary Esther, Children: Ben Jr., Monica, Geraldo, Maria and Veronica; Siblings: Susie, Juan, Cecilia, Sylvia, Aurelio, David, Rudy and Barbara as well as 13 grandchildren.
