Benjamin Kevin Burks

Benjamin "Kevin" Burks, 59, of Hot Springs, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025.
He was born on January 3, 1966, in Hot Springs, Arkansas, to Buddy Mac Burks and Mary Rose Kinsey-Burks.
Kevin is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Tommy Eubanks; and his baby sister, Marti Eubanks. He was also preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Jacqueline Dowling (Ronald), along with several aunts and uncles.
Throughout his professional life, Kevin was truly a jack of all trades. From operating heavy machinery to welding, he had a natural talent for working with his hands and took pride in every job he undertook. He later retired from the City of Hot Springs. Outside of work, Kevin found his greatest joy in the outdoors. His favorite pastime was spending time in the woods hunting deer and turkey, whether with a rifle or a bow. He also enjoyed competing in the local demolition derby, a tradition he looked forward to each year.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife and high school sweetheart of 39 years, Kim Burks; his son, Levi (Drew) Burks; and his treasured grandchildren, Gunner, Summer, and Ceriniti. He is also survived by two siblings, Rhonda Rivers and Buddy Mac Burks Jr. (Dena).
A large and loving extended family meant the world to him. He was deeply connected to his many nieces and nephews; Matt, Vanessa Samantha, Katy, Garrett, Logan, Kimberly, Josh, Emily, Laney, Mikey, Soraya, Dreshauna, Autumn, Parion, Kayla, Ahman, and Xavier, as well as numerous great-nieces and nephews. Kevin also held a special bond with Tina Dowling, James (Nichole) Wallace, Daniel (Angela) Wallace, Joshua Wallace, and his father-in-law Darrell Wallace, who became an extended part of his family through the years.
Kevin will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love of the outdoors, his adventurous spirit, and the deep devotion he held for his family. His presence will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Portwood, Rob Dumos, Jacob Dickinson, Danny Neighbors, and Colton Roberts.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday December 4, 2025, at 2:00pm at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home.
