Benjamin Edgar Chambers ("Uncle Ben"), age 82 of Delaware, OH passed away Wednesday September 10, 2025 at Willowbrook Christian Village.

Ben was born February 11, 1943 in Ashtabula, OH, the son of Frederick Lee Chambers and Margaret Elizabeth Chambers (Allshouse).

He is survived by his sister Clarene McNeal of Delaware, OH and his brother Bill Chambers of North Canton, OH. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Cherie McMurray (McNeal) of Delaware, OH, Steve McNeal of Florence, MT, Dave McNeal of Delaware, OH, Doug McNeal of Denver, CO, Debbie Nobles (McNeal) of Sarasota, FL, Matt Chambers of North Canton, OH, and Jennifer Pedrozo (Chambers) of Westerville, OH.

Ben was preceeded in death by his parents.

Ben graduated from Jefferson high school in Ohio and attended Ohio State University and the University of Texas.

He served in the Air Force for 4 years during the Vietnam war, stationed in Thailand. His specialty was with communication and telephone systems repair and he acheived the rank of Sergeant.

Ben lived in Bradenton, FL, California and eventually a long period in Nashville, TN. He then moved to Delaware his last 2 years where he was a great addition to family dinners and ball games. He especially liked eating lunch at Sourcepoint, then playing pool, and was a big fan of Wendy's chocolate frostys for dessert.

He also enjoyed singing and made his own "karaoke style" CD. He loved music and movies of all varieties.

Burial will be at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, OH.

He will be remembered for his amazing smile and was loved by all who knew him.
