Benjamin "Benny/Fonzie" Chiasson

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, Benjamin "Benny" "Fonzie" Chiasson, age 49 of Lacombe, LA passed on peacefully to be in the presence of our Lord and Savior.

He was a Water Operator for the last 28 yrs. in serving the community of Bayou Liberty as well as the Covington area.

Benny was such an exceptional and outstanding man, that to put into words the impact he had on all the lives he touched would be difficult to do. Benny was well known for his love of animals, his love of nature, adventure, and always pushing his limits to live his life to the fullest and enjoy the worldly beauties that God gave him. His adventure seeking ways led to him being able to help others experience things in life that they normally wouldn't have ever dreamed of doing in that he had an uncanny way of inspiring and convincing them to join him in his many adventures. Benny was very proud of being an Iron Man finisher, Dive Master, NHRA Race Car Driver, and having hiked the Appalachian Trails. His magnetic personality lit up the room, his charm and presence excelled beyond everyone's expectations in everything he did, and for that he will be sorely missed by his family. Benny's family takes great comfort in knowing that in his beautiful lifetime here on earth, he had the great pleasure of knowing Jesus and that during his battle with cancer, he never complained or felt sorry for himself, but yet he chose to give his testimony as what God was doing for him and continued to bless him.

Benny is survived by the love of his life Sherry Chiasson whom he was devoted to for 29 years, his precious son Bran Chiasson, his parents Peggy and George Chiasson and Benjamin Kimberly, his sister Madison Kimberly, his grandmother Edna Chiasson, and several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and countless friends. We are comforted in that he is now walking the streets of gold and reunited with his grandparents Evelyn and Harold Dwyer, Frederick Chiasson, and Joann Warf Gray, and his uncle Harold "Pinky" Dwyer.

Everyone is invited to attend services to honor this amazing man's life, will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at 11 am at Village Church Lutheran, in Lacombe, LA with Pastor Paul Ernewein officiating with a luncheon reception to follow immediately after.
