Dr. Benjamin Jack "Dr. Jack" Collinsworth

We send our sincere condolences to the Collinsworth family on the passing of Dr. Jack. He is directly responsible for our family locating in the Ruston community in 1968 with the offer of a faculty position in the Louisiana Tech University College of Education which he served as Dean. Dr. Collinsworth was a fine leader, a great educator and a personal mentor whose guidance and encouragement served us well in our professional lives. We enjoyed long professional careers at Louisiana Tech thanks to his offer of a faculty post, and following his footsteps we similiarly achieved the honor of Professor Emeritus (Sam) and Dean and Professor Emerita( Jo Ann). Dr. Jack Collinsworth made a direct and lasting influence on our personal, family, and professional lives. We have grateful memories of him and his family.
