Benjamin S. Crosby, 84, of Thomasville, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Archbold Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held at Whiddon Shiver Funeral Home on Sunday, February 11th at 2:00 pm with Pastor Mike Hanscom, Reverend Randall Gay, and Dr. Jimmy Clanton officiating. Interment will follow at Big Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 11, 2024 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the funeral home Chapel. Benjamin was born on June 6, 1939 to the late Carmine Crosby and Carmen Hardy Crosby. He married Tommie Gay Crosby, his loving wife of over 50 years. He worked for Sunnyland and later retired from Thomas County Sheriff's Department after working many years in Central Control. He was a member of the Men's Prayer Group in Boston and was of the Baptist faith. He was a great Daddy and Paw Paw to his children and all of his grandchildren. He is survived by; his wife, Tommie G. Crosby of Thomasville, children, Leah Gay Cone of Cairo, GA, Benjamin E. Crosby (Lisa Swanson) of Thomasville, Jeff Crosby (Carla) of Ochlocknee, GA, and Derrick Crosby (Kim) of Camilla, GA, grandchildren, Jessica Duetta, Jordan Fuller, Benjy Crosby, Christopher Crosby, Chance Crosby, Thomas Crosby, Jacob Crosby, Peyton Thaggard, Dalton Crane, Mallory Crosby, Colton Crane, and Jayden Crosby, and a number of great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, brothers, Fred Crosby, Paul Crosby, and Gene Crosby.
