Benjamin Elisondo, Sr. entered into rest February 15, 2025 in Shafter, CA. Benjamin was born June 29, 1951 in Richmond, Texas.
Benjamin proudly served in the United States Army, where he was awarded five medals in recognition of his dedication and bravery: the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, and the Army Commendation Medal. His service reflected his deep love for his country, a devotion and patriotism that remained steadfast throughout his life.
Ben Elisondo Sr. is survived by his wife, Judi Elisondo; his children Jennie Garcia, Benjamin Elisondo, Eli Elisondo, Steve Elisondo, Elijah Elisondo, and Evonne Burtcher and their spouses. Benjamin has 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sons Jerry Elisondo and Isaac Elisondo.
We will always remember him as a Vietnam veteran, a hard worker, and a country music lover. His legacy will live on through his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
We can find comfort in knowing he is now reunited with his sons and parents, whom he deeply loved, resting in the arms of the Lord. May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him and loved him. Rest in peace.
A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on March 14, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Bakersfield National Cemetery, located at 30338 E. Bear Mountain Blvd., Arvin, California.
