Rest in Peace Uncle Ben !
I have known Uncle Ben and Aunt Lou since I was a little girl. Ben and Lou were good friends of my Parents . BILL and Betty Williams . We were always getting together when Ben lived in Ohio. Ben was a truck driver then and a long time farmer. He was a hard working man. He always had lots of story's to tell. Taco nite at our house was a process for My mom and Aunt Lou together they made a homemade corn tortilla crepe type shell . Which we had often and a gathering of atleast 15 people at a setting. 2020 was the last time I was out to Kansas at Uncle Ben. I made the taco shells put smile on his face and he has not had them in such a long time. Since Aunt Lou used to make them. This recipe has made it into 4 Generations of my family.
My husband Wally met Uncle Ben 49 years ago. They hit it off . Wally had went out to Kansas to help plant wheat in September every year for 8 years. While Ben needed to keep his eyes on Aunt Lou while she was ill. So now Until 2021 when Ben leased his ground out. No more farming in Kansas. But phone calls were always between them to keep up on how things were going. Ben was always part of our family. Lots of memories. Will Miss his calls . REST IN Peace
Now they are together again.
